ChessBase organiseert toernooi met China-reis als prijs
Het Duitse schaakmedia-bedrijf ChessBase organiseert op 29 oktober een snelschaaktoernooi (3'+2'') op PlayChess. Van dat toernooi plaatst de top-12 zich voor een round-robin finalegroep en daarin is de eerste prijs een reis naar Peking tijdens de Mind Games die daar dan gehouden worden. Een PlayChess-account is niet nodig, met een gratis proefaccount kan ook worden deelgenomen.

- 29th October at 14:00 (Paris, Berlin, Madrid, Warsaw time - 13:00 UK time - 08:00 New York time)
- one preliminary 15 round Swiss tourney at 3 minutes + 2 seconds/move
- the twelve top players of the preliminary tourney will qualify for a final round robin tournament
- The top prize will be an expenses paid trip (flight plus accommodation) to the SportAccord World Mind Games. The winner is not entitled to actually play in the Mind Games, but will be a guest at the event and assist in some social and cultural events promoting chess in China. Playchess.com and ChessBase GmbH will provide extra prizes (software packages) for all players in the final, and some lucky players in the preliminary.
